Ligolin develops 100% bio-based thermosetting resins for adhesives and coatings, creating new opportunities for sustainable forest-based materials and alternatives to fossil-based solutions.

Necto develops secure infrastructure for AI platforms, addressing critical challenges around data protection, regulatory compliance and digital sovereignty, including requirements related to the Cloud Act.

Together, the projects illustrate a journey from international research collaboration to innovation, entrepreneurship and real-world application.

French-Swedish Research Collaboration – Digital Futures

Digital Futures, a cross-disciplinary research center established by KTH, Stockholm University and RISE, will present two research projects highlighting French-Swedish collaboration in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies:

AIDA – AI-Driven Acoustic Traffic SensingA collaboration between KTH, Université Gustave Eiffel and the City of Stockholm, using AI-driven acoustic sensing to analyse urban traffic and classified vehicle flows.

Scientific Machine Learning for Transformer Temperature Estimation - A collaboration between KTH, LAAS-CNRS and Hitachi Energy, applying scientific machine learning to improve accurate and reliable temperature estimation in power transformers.

Both projects have received seed funding from Digital Futures and demonstrate how French and Swedish research expertise can come together around concrete societal and industrial challenges.

Necto Technologies is a lifecycle tool for agentic workflows: build, define, place, limit, watch, and prove, end to end. Every agent runs on a hardened Linux and microVM foundation, holds only short-lived, scoped credentials, and can reach only approved destinations. Actions with real consequences wait for human approval, and every allowed, blocked, or approved action is recorded. As agentic AI moves into production faster than security teams can review it, Necto gives IT one place to deploy agents, contain what they can touch, and prove what happened - turning agent deployment from a liability into routine infrastructure.

At the Tech & Innovation exhibition, Neurobus will showcase how neuromorphic vision and edge AI can make autonomous aerial systems faster, safer and more energy-efficient. Through video demonstrations, visitors will discover our complete counter-drone system, combining passive ground-based detection, classification and tracking with autonomous terminal guidance for interceptor drones using either net-based capture or kinetic effectors. Designed to operate in GPS-denied and visually challenging environments, the solution aims to detect and intercept hostile drones before they can threaten critical infrastructure or sensitive sites. Through field-test footage and interactive presentations, we will demonstrate how our neuromorphic vision systems capture motion with sub-millisecond latency while generating far less data than conventional vision systems. We will also present civil applications, including detect-and-avoid for aviation and autonomous navigation. The exhibition will offer an opportunity to explore collaborations with Swedish and European partners in aerospace, defence, sensing, embedded computing and industrialisation.

REVCOO is a French climate-tech company developing CarbonCloud®, an innovative carbon capture solution designed to meet industrial realities. Unlike conventional carbon capture technologies that require significant modifications to operations, infrastructure, or business models, CarbonCloud® adapts to existing industrial constraints. The solution is modular, retrofit-ready, and has been developed and validated on real industrial sites. It integrates into existing plants with minimal disruption, limited permitting requirements, and no dependence on future CO₂ transport or storage networks.

By design, CarbonCloud® produces ultra-high-purity liquid CO₂ directly on-site, creating immediate opportunities for CO₂ valorization while supporting decarbonization objectives. Developed for hard-to-abate sectors including lime, cement, metals, and waste-to-energy, the technology combines operational simplicity, infrastructure independence, and economic competitiveness.

REVCOO’s mission is to accelerate industrial decarbonization by delivering practical, scalable carbon capture solutions that work with existing assets, making carbon capture accessible to a broader range of industrial emitters.

GlobalEye is a multi-domain Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) solution. With its mix of modern active and passive sensors, it provides long-range detection and identification of objects in air, at sea and over land.

The Swedish-French Language Foundation was established by a Swedish Government decision in 1979 with the aim of increasing trade between Sweden and France.

To promote trade between Sweden and France, the Foundation provides employees of Swedish companies and organisations engaged in exports, imports or other commercial activities related to France with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the French language and French business culture, as well as to broaden their understanding of France.

Greater knowledge of French business language and business culture is essential in order to better leverage the significant potential of the French market and succeed in doing business with French partners.

The Foundation is administered by the Swedish Trade and Invest Council (Business Sweden) in cooperation with the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in France, under the supervision of a dedicated committee comprising representatives from the public and private sectors. The members of the committee are appointed by the Swedish Government, the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in France, the Embassy of France and Business Sweden.

UIC provides tailored business development support, including business coaching, industry networks and financing connections, to help companies scale from early-stage to international growth, without taking ownership stakes.

At the French-Swedish Innovation Forum exhibition, UIC will present a selection of portfolio companies developing solutions within sustainability and emerging technology, reflecting the breadth of innovation emerging from the Uppsala ecosystem. UIC works closely with Uppsala University, SLU, regional actors and an international network of partners, positioning it at the centre of Sweden's innovation landscape.

Virtwin-Energy is showcasing Ignite-AI, an AI-driven engineering simulation platform designed to make advanced physics-based simulation faster, more accessible and more autonomous. Ignite-AI enables engineers to interact with simulation tools using natural language, while AI agents can assist with model setup, simulation execution, parameter studies, analysis and automated reporting. The platform currently focuses on process and combustion simulation, with CFD capabilities under development as the next major extension. This builds on the company founder’s 10+ years of research expertise in CFD and multiphysics, with 30+ international scientific publications. At the exhibition, we will demonstrate how AI agents can orchestrate physics-based simulations and turn complex engineering workflows into an intuitive, governed and scalable process—supporting industry in optimising energy-intensive processes and accelerating the transition toward more sustainable energy systems.
